Golden Link presents an online concert with
folk troubadour and Maine native Dave Rowe

Rochester, NY – Golden Link presents an online concert with Dave Rowe, a singer-songwriter and interpreter of traditional and modern song whose 30-year career has had him on stages all over the eastern seaboard and throughout America’s heartland. Armed with his guitar, a dream, a quick wit, a soaring tenor voice, and the heart of an entertainer, he’s enthralled audiences everywhere he’s travelled. Rowe will perform a live streaming concert for Golden Link on Saturday, April 24 at 7:30 pm. The concert will be streamed on Golden Link’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

Dave Rowe’s handmade, heartfelt music springs from deep roots borne out of the song traditions of Ireland and the British Isles, cultivated in the roots music of North America, and filtered through Dave’s classical training. His original songs examine subject matter as varied as Dave’s interests, from songs of the sea to historical sketches, from songs of abiding love to social commentary.

Dave recently circumnavigated the eastern continental US by boat on the “Great Loop.” The musical tour of a lifetime, his adventures aboard his vessel “Stinkpot” were documented in live broadcasts called “Folk on the Water” and aired on the Folk Music Notebook.

No ticket is needed to watch the concert, but audience members are encouraged to support the musicians by contributing something to their tip jar. After the concert you can join the performer for a Zoom reception and Q&A.

“… This man is a consummate artist. Dave graces the stage and brings everyone under his spell. The son of the late Tom Rowe of Schooner Fare, Dave has folk music in his heart and soul. Based in Maine, I hope Dave will spend more time performing at venues throughout the country so others can discover the magic he creates.” –Ron Olesko, SingOut!
