Golden Link presents an online concert with
Canadian folk troubadour Scott Cook

Rochester, NY – Live concerts may not be happening right now, but the online format has one advantage – distance is no issue. So for the next Golden Link concert on Saturday, November 21 at 6:30 pm, Alberta musician Scott Cook – who was here for Golden Link’s Turtle Hill Folk Festival in 2019 – and his band, the Indoorables, perform an online concert. Details and link to live stream will be posted soon at www.goldenlink.org.

Scott Cook is a tireless folk troubadour who made his home on the road for 13 years, until the pandemic made living in a van less appealing. He now broadcasts from Edmonton with his quaranteam-mates Elliot Thomas on guitar and vocals and Pamela Mae on bass, banjo, and vocals. Audiences will hear sturdy, straight-talking songs with old-timey string band arrangements, equal parts introspection and insurrection.

Cook’s new album, Tangle of Souls, has been getting rave reviews from the folk radio DJs, with the album, the single “Say Can You See,” and Cook as artist in either slot 1 or 2 on the Folk Alliance International charts.

There will be a post-concert Zoom session with the musicians. No ticket is needed to watch, but audience members are encouraged to support the musicians by putting something in their tip jar.
