Golden Link Members Showcase Concert!
Members Showcase Concert
Whenever there is a 5th Tuesday in a month, Golden Link hosts a Members Showcase Concert instead of the usual sing around. It will be held at our new concert venue at the Greece Baptist Church, 1230 Long Pond Road.
Rather than in the main sanctuary, this concert will be held in the Parlor, which is the room at the rear of the church. There is ample parking at the rear.

Kurt Deutschbein & Steve Hahn
~------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------~
It’s been over 20 years since Kurt Deutschbein (on right in photo) and Steve Haehn met through their shared experience as homeschooling dads. Learning that they both had a love of guitars and singing began their musical making journey.
Kurt has pursued the path of guitarist and singer for 50 years. The path has focused primarily on Americana and singer/songwriter music, but in the past decade Kurt has expanded his repertoire to facilitate a more campfire friendly music experience. The shift to include a variety of musical genres has seen Kurt spend more time playing with and for others.
Steve has had a love of music pretty much of his entire life. As a child, he was introduced to it by listening and singing church choir music. Eventually, radio and records took over his listening and singing experience. Growing up during the singer-song writer era of folk music made him interested in learning how to play the guitar. He eventually became accomplished enough to sing and play in church folk ensembles. Making music with friends has become one of his great joys in life.

I attended my first sing-around in 2005. It took several years for me to get confidence to play and sing comfortably in our group. How could I not grow with so much support from my folk friends? Jeff Love was "instrumental" in guiding me with guitar playing and he arranged many songs for me to play. Vern Lindberg challenged me to play out and even had me as a backup singer on one of his CD's! I will entertain you with some folk, folk rock, country and jazz tunes.

Too many years ago, I was born when I was very young. I emerged from the babymatic with a tuxedo and a trumpet which were immediately surgically removed and there by saved from a life of doing Louis Armstrong impressions. Early on I showed a talent for bowel movements and was ushered off to a lamasery where I met the Dali Parton. After decades of rigorous instruction in tofu, I was awarded the meaning of life insurance and a license to practice surrealism. The rest is mystery, now ain’t she sweet.
