“… One of America’s finest songwriters.” –

“… This man really is a huge talent who needs to be heard by far more people. … Settle down to listen to some of the best story songs around, told by a singer songwriter who is genuinely ‘the real deal!’” – American Roots UK

Grimm Tim 600pxTim Grimm is a bit of a Renaissance man in the performing arts world, forging a rich and varied career that blends his love of songwriting, travel, and acting in theatre, film, and television.

For most of his 25-year career as a storytelling balladeer in the tradition of John Prine, Woody Guthrie, and Bob Dylan, Tim has written primarily about community, history, family, and social issues – often framed by his strong sense of place and the many years he spent on the family farm he built in rural Indiana. His songs are filled with rural characters and landscapes, written and sung with vivid warmth and intimacy.

Tim’s most recent album, The Little In-Between, traces his travel between the hills of southern Indiana and the Oklahoma prairie – and his internal journey from a rich past to an unexpected future. His album Gone was the #1 album on folk radio for 2021, with its title song as the #1 most played song on folk radio for the year.

Tim Grimm and Nate BorofsyFor this concert, Tim will be joined by a special guest – Nate Borofsky, formerly of the band Girlyman. From 2001 to 2013, Nate Borofsky toured the world with the award-winning folk-pop band. Amy Ray of the Indigo Girls said of Girlyman, “Magical musicality. This band will transform your artful heart and mind.” On his own, Nate won a Boston Music Award, and several of his songs have been recorded by internationally touring acts.
