Dan Lynch, a private music instructor, promises a fun workshop filled with what people want to know when jamming. It will include how to back-up other musicians with different accompaniment styles based on your instrument, how to sing a vocal harmony and how to take a break/solo on a song. All acoustic instruments and skill levels are welcome.
Dan, who teaches at Rochester’s Submarine School of Music, is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist performer, and audio engineer. Raised in a musical family, he learned guitar, banjo and mandolin from his grandparents and later studied Music Recording at FLCC and Ethnomusicology at SUNY Geneseo. He recently performed at the Turtle Hill Festival and Fiddlers’ Fair.
