MEMBER SPOTLIGHT Sing Around - Jeff Stewart Leading

Member Spotlight Sing Around!

In any month that has more than 4 Tuesdays, we use the 5th Tuesday to highlight some of our talented members.  This is one of those special nights!  We'll be starting the evening with a short performance of several songs from each of two performers.  After that, the sing around will continue as usual.

This evening's SPOTLIGHT PERFORMERS are:

Janice & Craig Hanson

Craig & Janice Hanson 600pxCraig and Janice share a love for many different kinds of music – especially songs which are a little offbeat, with a catchy tune, interesting rhythm, or great harmonies. They followed rather different musical paths though. Craig was a band geek in school, playing bass clarinet and trombone before teaching himself guitar and electric bass and playing in rock bands. Janice sang in her church choir and high school a cappella group, and at summer camp before getting into folk music and teaching herself to play mountain dulcimer and ukulele. They have been members of Golden Link since moving to Rochester in 2002, and Janice serves on the board as Concert Chair. Craig is an optical engineer at L3 Harris and Janice works in marketing at The Hochstein School.

Amaryllis

Amaryllis 600 SqKaris Gregory is a guitarist and singer-songwriter, and plays in multiple Rochester bands including Public Water Supply. Christina Stewart is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who got her start at the Golden Link Sing-Arounds. Together they make Amaryllis, a folk duo with beautiful harmonies and guitar solos. Enjoy originals, classic folk tunes everyone will know, and everything in between!
