October 23 - 24, 2020

Schedule:  

 

Friday, October 23, 7:30-9:30 pm:

- Opening Concert (free and open to the community) featuring Sungmin Shin, Rochester Ukulele Orchestra, and Tom Toyama, followed by a Zoom play-along and hangout (registrants only).

 

Saturday, October 24, 9:00-5:00 pm: 

- Workshops and Open Mic (registrants only)

 

Saturday, October 24, 7:30-9:00 pm: 

- Flower City Ukulele Festival Concert (free and open to the community) featuring Awkward Marina and Stuart Fuchs

 

DESCRIPTION:

 

The Flower City Ukulele Festival is an event for all ukulele enthusiasts from beginner to more advanced – this year going online so you can attend from wherever you are! 

 

The Festival opens on Friday night with a free concert by performers from the Western New York area – including Sungmin Shin, Rochester Ukulele Orchestra, and Tom Toyama – followed by a Zoom play-along and hangout (registrants only). 

 

The fun continues on Saturday with daytime workshops and an open mic (registrants only), and a free concert featuring Stuart Fuchs and Awkward Marina. 

 

Have fun strumming, learning, and connecting with our area’s vibrant ukulele community! 

 

Register now and please donate (as you are able) for a full festival pass that includes access to all workshops, workshop materials, open mic, and the Zoom play-along/hangout room.

 

Donations support the artists and benefit the services of RAIHN (Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network), a non-profit organization that works to provide prevention, shelter, and stabilization services to families currently or at-risk of experiencing homelessness.

 

COST: Friday and Saturday night concerts are free, donations accepted. Registration is required (donate as you are able) for a full festival pass that includes all workshops, workshop materials, open mic, and the Zoom play-along/hangout room.Donations support the artists and benefit the services of RAIHN (Rochester Area Interfaith Hospitality Network).
