Nashville-based Americana and folk singer/songwriter Taylor Pie, aka Susan Taylor, returns to the Rochester area for a special concert to benefit the Coffee Connection. She will be joined by guest musicians from Rochester, including Pat Zarpentine, Cathy McGrath, and Kathleen Cappon.
Known for her years with the chart-topping Pozo-Seco Singers, Pie has had her songs recorded by Bette Midler and Tanya Tucker, among others, and also recorded several albums of her own, singing and playing acoustic guitar and mandolin. Suggested donation at the door: $10 Proceeds from this concert benefit the Coffee Connection, which provides comprehensive, continuous support for women on their journey toward sustainable recovery from addiction and economic self-sufficiency through job training and job creation. This nonprofit business provides a safe, supportive environment for the women who run the coffee shops and cafes and wholesale business. Coffee Connection has saved the community millions of dollars by reducing recidivism to prison or residential programs, reducing reliance on social services, creating jobs for unemployed women, and adding to the tax base.
