5th Tuesday - Members Showcase Concerts

What exactly is a Members Showcase Concert?

It's a uniquely Golden Link event which gives members a low-pressure venue to perform in a concert setting, and gives the public an opportunity to see some of the more talented members in our organization.  

These concerts are held 4 times a year, whenever a month has a fifth Tuesday, instead of the usual Tuesday night sing-around. They're held in the same location as our concerts at the Greece Baptist Church (1230 Long Pond Road), but in the Parlor rather than the main hall.

These concerts are open to the public, with only a $5 donation requested at the door.  And as is usual at Golden Link concerts, refreshments are available.

You'll hear a wide variety of musical genres, performed by some of the most talented amateurs you'll hear anywhere!  Some are singer-songwriters highlighting their own material, while others will be doing old standbys with the audience always encouraged to sing along.  Who knows - you might just see the beginnings of a rising star!

Want to get some experience performing on stage in a small venue, with a short set, in front of an accepting audience?  These concerts are a great way to dip your toe in the water if you're new to performing, or to try out some new material if you've been around a while.  There's a wide range of experience levels that appear on our Members Showcase stage, from inaugural performances, to seasoned vets.

Performing is open to paid Golden Link members, or groups that have at least one Golden Link member in them.  If you're a paid member, you can Apply Online  using the button below. If you're accepted, you'll be scheduled to play a 30 to 45 minute set at an upcoming concert.
 

Golden Link's sound equipment will be provided and set up for you, and a sound technician will be there running the board to help you sound your best.  You'll be asked to show up early to do a sound check. And don't worry if you've never used a microphone before - we can help with that too.

Be sure to apply early - there's often a waiting list to get into these exciting events!
