Golden Link Honors Vern Lindberg Through Music
Golden Link will gather to celebrate the life of Vern Lindberg, who passed this last fall. Almost two dozen performers will pay tribute to Vern in a concert on Saturday, May 6 at 1:30 pm in the Greece Baptist Church at 1230 Long Pond Road in Greece. Vern was a guiding presence in the Golden Link Folk Singing Society, not only participating in singarounds and enthusiastically volunteering at club activities, but also serving as Golden Link’s president, treasurer, newsletter editor, and festival coordinator. Vern was a friend to all.
Following the concert will be a reception with birthday cake (Vern’s birthday is May 5th) and a time to honor the friendship Golden Linkers had with Vern. The concert is free, with a suggested $5 donation (cash only) to help defray costs.
