“Dana is a master storyteller, spinning his yarns with the precise skill of an artisan loom weaver.” – Seven Days
“Rural America explored with elegant simplicity. Their music and cleanly poetic songwriting bring to mind the great folksingers of our times.” – Asheville Citizen-Times
For more than 30 years, Dana Robinson has been a stalwart fixture on the United States folk music scene.
From performing at Carnegie Hall to providing music for Ken Burns’ documentaries, Dana Robinson has created music that has permeated the culture in its own quiet way. His blend of original songwriting and traditional music brings a unique voice to the landscape of American songwriting.
Before finding a home in Cabot, Vermont, Dana toured throughout the United States and Great Britain, mostly performing with his wife Susan. From 1997 to 2017 they travelled over a million miles, playing coffeehouses, folk clubs, theaters, festivals, arts centers, libraries, and house concerts. They were last here in March 2020; this concert will feature Dana as a solo performer.
Dana’s most recent recording, “The Town That Music Saved,” features songs written in and around Cabot and captures the essence of rural life.
