Hailed by The Boston Globe as a “charismatic performer and singer,” Canadian singer-songwriter Garnet Rogers was on the road at age 18 touring with his brother – the late folk legend Stan Rogers – in one of the most influential duos in the history of North American folk music.
Since then, he has established himself as a formidable solo artist, performing at folk clubs and concert halls across North America. Garnet Rogers closes out the 2025–26 Golden Link concert season on Saturday, May 16 at 7:30 pm at the Greece Baptist Church.
With his “smooth, dark baritone” (Washington Post), his incredible range, and thoughtful, dramatic phrasing, Garnet is widely considered by fans and critics alike to be one of the finest singers anywhere. An optimist at heart, he sings extraordinary songs about people who are not obvious heroes. As memorable as his songs, his over-the-top humor and lightning-quick wit move the audience from tears to laughter and back again.
Garnet says he is making one last lap around to all the places he’s played during his career, so this is likely our last chance to see him in Rochester. Don’t miss this concert!
