2021 Turtle Hill Festival Lineup Change

Due to an unanticipated, non-COVID health issue, Amy Gallatin & Stillwaters will be unable to perform at this year’s 50th Anniversary Turtle Hill Folk Festival coming up on Saturday, September 11.

While we are disappointed that they can’t be here, we have contracted with a new group as our second main stage act. Joining the evening lineup of John Roberts and Bill Staines will be Burns & Kristy, an Ithaca-based group performing indie, folky pop with a spiritual, whimsical attitude (see below for their bio). They will also be offering some daytime workshops .

A reminder that this year, tickets are being sold in advance – online only – and the audience is limited to 200 attendees. Everyone attending must be fully vaccinated and provide proof. Masks are required indoors, except when eating.

The deadline to order tickets is Wednesday, September 8.

If you are already registered, please be sure to bring your vaccination confirmation and picture ID with you to show at the gate.

Also note that Mama Napoli Dinners must be pre-ordered along with your Festival ticket. You can also bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Burns & Kristy

Terry Burns and Ron Kristy met after many years as independent musicians and singer/songwriters in Nashville, TN, writing music for major publishing companies, TV shows, and movies. They became a musical duo in 2011 and their debut CD, “Caravan,” earned rave reviews, like this one:

“This is fine songwriting, married to excellent singing and performing with thoughtful arrangements. An entire program of Burns and Kristy could only be one that would satisfy the soul.” – No Depression

Their music has been described as vocal-rich, whimsical indie/folk and their songs range from hilarious to deeply moving.

Terry and Ron will be joined by multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Rich DePaolo, who has accompanied such notable regional and national performers as Martin Sexton, Jimmy LaFave, and Tom Paxton.
