Best known as a founder of The Lovin' Spoonful – America’s answer to the British Invasion – John Sebastian is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, autoharpist, and harmonica player. With top ten hits like “Do You Believe in Magic,” "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice," and “Daydream,” the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. Sebastian also has the distinction of having performed at Woodstock in 1969. In 1976, he had a number one single with Welcome Back, the theme song to the sitcom Welcome Back, Kotter.
